Dallas, I think you will need to bring your SAT score up in order to be considered for fall term. You have a shot for summer, but I wouldn’t just rely on those scores. Take the ACT once before you go on summer break, see which test fits you better and spend your break focusing on one test to study.

Just a few questions. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I know that the recalculated GPA for UCF is made up of the cores, the languages, and two academic electives. It used to be three but with the new mandated math it was lowered to two.

Thing is that I may only have one going into senior year. I will get my second IN senior year.
I know the class will show up on my transcript but can I apply for fall in my senior year if I have yet to complete me second elective?

Would you also mind telling me where I stand?
By the time I apply, which will be as soon as registration opens so that my chances increase, I will have a 3.2/3.3 UCF GPA, 1980 SAT, job for a year, and 200 hours of community service.

What are my chances for fall? For summer?

Thank you in advance.

P.S. First post! Glad to be a part of this forum.

You are so in (for whichever term you want!)! I got in with 1890 SAT, and higher GPA, less community service hours but a TON of sports and school activity hours, but I chose FSU instead.

I got accepted into the summer earlier this month & i applied maybe january or december ? i was deferred at first & then i was offered the waiting list & then offered admission maybe a week or two after that. I got 21 ACT & i cant remember my SAT score, but i think UCF looks at you as a whole, aside from your scores. They understand that some people are not good test takers, but if you have the grades, the involvement in activities, & great recommendation letters, they will look beyond the scores, but they should still be decent enough. It was truly a blessing that i got accepted because i didnt expect it. it made me feel good that they saw potential in me, ya know ? by the way, i hope anything i said helps you out ! :)

I sent in my application about almost 3 weeks ago now and I haven’t heard anything back yet.
I got a 1000 on the SAT.
My high school GPA is a 4.0.
I listed a lot of ECs and volunteer hours on my application. I was also in the early college program my junior and senior years of high school where I took all college credits at a local community college (SPC) and graduated high school with my AA degree.
I’m so incredibly nervous about this!!! I just hope I find out soon…

Pacificsurfer - you double posted your question on two very old threads. There are more current accepted threads here. That said, your SAT score is too low for UCF even though your other credentials are great. They may overlook them because of your impending AA degree but you may also be deferred until you retake your SAT and/or take the ACT for a higher score. Most of the students admitted here have over a 1100 SAT (and many have much higher).
