Does CMU offer open house days to accepted applicants?
If so, when have they typically been held? I did a search and only turned up information for grad students.

Yes, but they don’t post/send much information about them, except to admitted students, once they are admitted. I even called the admissions office last year in March to ask, trying to plan ahead for possibilities, and they were pretty vague in what they would tell me.
Basically, most weeks in April they offer sessions for admitted students, several days of the week, more things seemed to be offered on Fridays/Mondays to combine with weekend travel, from what I remember. They had presentations of financial aid, on clubs, from each of the individual colleges, had tours of dorms, etc. It was very welcoming and I got the impression that it was a way to recruit students who may have been on the fence. Worked for my child!
When they cancelled the tartan overnight they told us that there would be another weekend opportunity after acceptance the weekend of April 9th.
Thanks, @Pepper17.
We’re scheduled to be at Pitt on April 8th, but already have another college visit commitment on April 9th. My concern is, if my S is accepted, it will be too late to reschedule the April 9th visit to a different date.
Guess we play it by ear…
