I was looking on the UDel accepted students facebook group and some students were invited for an overnight stay April 7th and 8th. I looked on my blue hen home and there is nothing about this. Does anyone know if this is only for honors kids? Thanks!

ValleyDude- May not be honors but something else (specific major maybe?). You can always give the admissions office a call.

The overnight stay April 7th-8th is a multicultural event, I was invited and I am African American. I am not sure if they could invite all the minorities that were accepted but I know that this event is geared towards minorities…hope that could help!

That is annoying…How about a similar accepted students event for non minorities? Hope there is something…

UD does provide the two Delaware Decision Days on Saturdays in April which provide a lot of general and some specific major information for students considering UD. While it would be nice, with UD accepting 10K-12K of applicants, it would be extremely impractical and very costly for UD to offer an overnight event for all accepted applicants. I do know that some major departments (I can’t speak for all), if you contact them directly, will set up a day long session where an accepted student can shadow a UD student to get a better feel for what classes and the campus are like at UD. Overnights are not provided to the best of my knowledge. There are a number of motels/hotels available locally if you want to stay overnight. Some accepted students will visit friends (or friends of friends or relatives) who are students at UD and are able to stay overnight “unofficially” with them. If one is still “on the fence” about attending UD even after going to one of the Decision Days then trying to set up something like I noted above might be helpful. Best of luck to everyone in making their decision about attending UD.
