Accepted Students Day(s) Absences

Hello,
I am planning to visit the campuses of the colleges that accept me but some have two to three day visit itineraries. I am just wondering if I need to start worrying about unexcused absences from my high-school. Not that I expect to miss a whole week or anything, but is there any way to excuse these absences at school barring claiming illness? Probably not as it is voluntary to attend accepted students days, but simply curious as to how some have handled it.

After every visit I’ve attended, the university has asked if I’d like an excuse slip for my school so the absense would be excused.

At my high school, we get 3 college visits per semester. However, an absence can be excused if you get all your teachers to sign a form. I would talk to the head of your school’s attendance office.

I might take anywhere from 2-4 days off school depending on late march decisions. Unfortunately, my spring break is the last week of March, so I cannot visit then. I think it is perfectly reasonable to miss school to visit colleges so long as you make up work.

Is unexcused absense a serious thing? I was absent for at least 15 days/half days last semester without an excuse. No one cared.
