Accepted Students Day

Does Bowdoin have a special day/weekend for accepted students to visit in April? Do you know when it is this year? May be jumping the gun, but being optimistic!

Yes they do - it’s usually first or second week of April. It’s a very valuable day and President Barry Mills is an awe inspiring speaker. A couple of minutes into his welcome speech and I knew that was where I wanted my son to go. Luckily he agreed.
At the end of the day we walked into the admissions office and paid our deposit!
That was three years ago, and we are waiting to see if my younger son will be accepted this year. Bowdoin is THE most amazing college on every level.

yeah from what i read from last year’s posts, there were 3 days you could visit. IF I DONT GET INTO BOWDOIN I WILL DIE!!

2 more weeeeeks

Very best of luck to all of you!
I have been a “Bowdoin Mom” for 3 great years and there is not a single thing I don’t like about it. Keeping my fingers crossed for the big envelope!

Anyone know the exact dates?

Is there anything like a pre-orientation date for freshman in the late summer?

^ there are pre-orientation trips… which are usually 3 days i think.

and i think we’ll know the exact days when all RD people start getting in…

I got my acceptance letter from Bowdoin yesterday–a few accepted student dates were listed. The two I remember are April 11th and April 18th, but I believe there was one more.

uniak907, you had an early write?

april 15th is the other my letter said I believe

Best of luck to all of you. I hope your dreams come true. Bowdoin has been a great experience for my son, a graduating senior. I have been impressed with the quality of teaching, his opportunities for research and service, and the dedication to excellence of the administration. Now it’s on to the University of Chicago! The adventure continues…

Thanks everyone…We received our invite for the Accepted Students Visitation Dates of April 11,15,& 18th…Now to pick one?.. Best of luck to all upon hearing soon!! You’ll see there will be something good for everyone!!

I love how Bowdoin is so straightforward with acceptances; the opening statement is “You’re in!” instead of a huge introductory paragraph that makes you bored or nervous :)

lovetorun2320, did you get your mail package today or yesterday?
