Accepted Students Day?

I have a nephew who is considering Wake Forest and is still making up his mind...did any of you go to the Accepted Students Day this past week? Do you have any feedback on the day? Would it be worth it for him to attend the second one in a couple of weeks? Thanks!

I went - basically they were trying to sell you on the school, obviously...The basic schedule was like this:

-optional campus tour that wasn't really a tour, we just went around the quad, lol
-registration/free coffee/juice/doughnuts
-welcome speech from the director of admissions and the college's president
-panel of freshman advisors and faculty
-two smaller sessions where you could pick prospective majors/areas of study and hear the department heads talk about their department
-lunch
-student clubs/activities fair, including a performance by a small part of the pep band
-one special interest session of your choice (I picked the tech session, but others included study abroad and pre-med)
-panel of freshmen talking about their first-year experience
-tour of the dorms

It was a long day...but it certainly might help him to make up his mind.

juba...was it a good day for you? Did it sell you on Wake or are you still making your decision?

I went as well, I think it was kind of worth it, but it didnt necesarily provide that much new info, because I have researched the school so thoroughly. I am still trying to make up my mind. I was impressed with everything about the place.

Do parents attend with the students or is it just for the students?

If I am not mistaken, I believe the parents attend with the students as well.

Once you sent in your deposit, how long before you got information about Freshman Orientation, calendar, tuition to send in, etc. We're so happy to be a 3rd generation Demon Deacon!
