If anyone is planning on coming to the Accepted Students Days for College of Communication, I would love to know! I am going to be working at them as a Dean’s Host, and it would be cool if I met any of you. Congrats to everyone on their acceptances, and I hope some of you end up at BU!

Just found out my son was accepted. How do you like the school and the Comm program? How long does it take to get from one end of campus to the other? We have not visited yet, but will have to now. Thanks for your help.

It probably takes like 20 minutes to walk from one end to the other. I definitely suggest you visit and come to the open houses. COM is awesome and I'm really proud to be in it.

I RSVPed to an engineering open house on April 7. It looks that that covers everything... housing, financial aid, the program, lab tours, etc.

I love being in COM, obviously :) It is challenging, but not impossible. They don't beat you down, but they do point out what you need to work on. It really does not take as long to walk from one end of campus to the other as people think. I mean, if you are walking from Danielson (the eastern most dorm) to FitRec, it will take you some time, but from COM to say West Campus, it's a 15 or 20 minute walk. Nothing too horrible.

The accepted students days are amazingly informative. I talked to students, went on a tour of COM, heard the Dean speak, had lunch in a dining hall, toured FitRec, and so much more. It definitely helped cement my coming to BU.

Are the accepted student days the same as the Spring Open House? I thought they were the same but then I got this brochure from BU that talked about the accepted days and the spring open house as two separate events.

I'm not sure. I know accepted Student's Days are specific to the school within BU that you got accepted to. Does it sound like that is what the open houses are as well?

Dramaqueen- DD is accepted and we are planning a visit over spring break. Dates maybe April 12 and 13. (She is in hs right near New Albany btw!) We are so looking forward to viewing the campus and will let you know itenerary later- maybe we can look you up! Thanks for the links and info.
