i dont get it though. i got in ed and they sent me a letter saying that there are "penn preview days" in which u can go from like 8am-4pm one day in any of the various dates they offered. but if its only a one day thing, it seems like its for kids on the east coast who dont have to fly there. what is an LA girl supposed to do? they didnt mention housing and it seems like a one day thing-not worth flying for...too bad:( i really want to visit

em, book fast because ticket prices = soaring. i havent booked yet but i might go because ill already be on the east coast. you should go during spring fling so you can party and ****.

if you go call the hillel to set you up with housing.

I was thinking about flying down tues night, staying at hotel, and then going on tuesday (by myself). I was also thinking about flying in early one day and leaving later, but I could not find any flights that arrived soon enough. Most people go without parents right?

RD students get the royal treatment cause they may or may not choose the school. chocolatechip, you didn't get an invitation cause they already know that you're going there for sure. This is the same thing that happens with Princeton.

ya thats really cheap, when my bro got in EA to stanford, they showered him with stuff because he was committed to going there. if they got u in, they dont care:( i still reallllly wanna go but they didnt mention anything about putting u up...mayb ill call.

you're not listening to the words that come out of my lips, em! imagine having to put up a few thousand pre-froshs. that's insane. call the hillel.

Speaking of which...does anybody know when freshman orientation is usually held? I know it's far in advance, but I am in the midst of making summer plans...

AllezlesBleus - Are tickets really that expensive? I know I didn't book my tickets until after decisions came out, and I got tickets for about $800 (still expensive I know!) coming from the UK.

Well i haven't checked the official sites but my parents told me it was around that amount and that it was a "no" unless we get miles from now and then.

Tickets to the east coast from Asia cost around USD$2000. Regardless of the school I get into, I'm not going to the preview things...got my final exams coming up.
