lots of extracurriculars, varsity tennis 4 years, worked since 15, full time engineering internship last summer. Good essay

I just got the acceptance e-mail today"

Wow, elliotneal, 12 IB tests?! The standard is to get 6 final scores and the ToK and EE to add up to 45. Did you take 12 subjects? And what was your final score out of 45?

When people say "lotsa extracurriculars"

do they mean that they filled up the whole EC list on the ap?

or they did that, and did the EC for all four years n stuff?

I got a packet saying I got an Arrupe Scholarship yesterday ...sweet! The funny thing is, I never got an acceptance letter from them so it was out of the blue. Maybe the admit envelope got held up somewhere and will come soon?

i got in :)
this was one of my top choice schools, i'm excited!

Hey confused 22, when did you send in your application?

december 27th-ish
my SAT scores probably got there a bit later though, they were processed by collegeboard on the 22nd, so realistically my file at LMU was only complete in early january

I swear, LMU's letter came for me today. I turned it in at the absolute latest it could be, yup, I was there on January 15 (my sister goes there).
I just went on my common app and printed my essay and bam i was done.

I think the my grade/rank was what got me in.
4.25 and 2nd of 170.
My SAT sucked, but my counselor went to LMU and I helped her with her masters thesis! Woo. That might have helped. Everything else i had as mediocre.
