I was so excited about getting accepted to Davis the other day. Then I felt like I failed my Pre-Cal final horribly. I am so afraid I will now get a D. I had a B- the last time I checked in about the middle of the term. I then had an 85% on a quiz. Missed three or four homework assignments, homework is 20% of our grade while quiz and tests are put together in a total of 80%. The final was 100 points I believe, I don’t know how much the quizes were, but I hope there were more significant. I am so afraid now that I will get a D because of that stupid final where I probably guessed on half of the test. I can’t get a D oh my god. I don’t have my pinnicle password, and I’m planning on marching to my school on Monday, we are on spring break, and ask them about my grades. I don’t think my application is strong enough already, and am afraid Davis will deny my admission after this. In my application my Math classes was never very strong, repeating classes anyways. This is horrible. So will I get booted if I get two Cs even? Not to mention a D. Because I might get Cs both semesterds. I hope I can convince my very strict math teacher of changing my grade for this, maybe with my admission on the line, he would give me some sort of extra credit. Thanks for reading this, please be nice, I’m already so devastated.

C's won't get your admission taken away. A D, on the other hand, can.

Just try really really hard to get a C at least. My sister is almost in the same situation with you, however she already received her 1st semester final grades- D in AP Calc. Yea, it sucks. Two years ago my friend thought she would get two F's in her classes, she emailed admissions explaining to them why and what she planned on doing and in the end they let her in. Good luck.

Thanks. Bruin10 what was her excuse? I don't want to lie. But just curious. I just hope to god I don't have a D.

My friend wrote two letters, one for each class at different times during her 2nd semester. She explained that because of work, student gov't and other extracir activities, she was unable to fully focus on schoolwork. They e-mailed her back saying it was fine and not to worry. But then again, everyone is case-specific and its entirely up to Admissions themselves to give you the final yes or no. Good luck!!!

Well if she had Fs. I hope I can get pass with a D. That is if I even get a D. I think I have a C but I guessed on so many questions on my finals. DAMIT. Maybe I'm just over thinking it.

Do your best to get a C. If you don't get it, make sure to explain why your grades are low, and why they should let you in anyway. Good luck.

I would say talk to your teacher and try to get some extra-credit to make it up to a C because it really is up to how admission is feeling that day. If they are in a bad mood, who knows, you might get the boot. For me personally, I got a D in my AP Chemistry Course and received a warning from admission. However, do not get ANY F's, in ANY CLASS. It won't matter if it's PE, F's= no no.

I went to my school today and checked in the office. I HAVE A B- YES YES YES!!! Hahahaha! No way! Lol.

Must of added my extra credit for answering warm up questions and such in the end. I'm not sure why its so high. Or maybe I got lucky on the final. YES! Thank you guys! I can't be kicked out with two B- can I? =]

haha unless a B- is the new F. Goodjob though brio
