Accepted to Harpur but applied for Bioengineering?!?

I got an acceptance letter today from Binghamton saying that I was accepted to the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, but I really put down bioengineering for my academic interest on the supplement? Can anyone help?? I'm really confused...

It could be possible that your stats weren’t that good/eligible to be admitted into Watson; thus, they put you in Harpur instead rather than deferring you.
Can anyone clarify if I’m right?

krnnyboi must be right…there is no other logical explanation unless you made a mistake on your app

okay do you think I should call the office anyway just to clarify??

Yeah, go ahead and let us know what happened. I’m curious myself.

And btw, were you able to log in pay your deposit before you got this acceptance letter?

alright thanks!! yea I was!! how come?

Oh wow, I never knew they actually put you into Harpur if you don’t match the stats for a program. Did you call them right now? Isn’t the office closed at this time?

yeah it closes at 4 so I have to call right when I get home from school tomorrow! But I’ll let you know cause I’m just as confused as you are haha

So I called Binghamton today and apparently my stats weren’t good enough for the engineering school so they considered me for Harpur. I’m a little upset but oh well, atleast I got in to something
