Accepted to UC Berkeley for transfer but cannot finish UC Reciprocity - Would I be rescinded?

Hi,

I am currently a student at UCSD.
I received an acceptance letter from UC Berkeley in April but I realize that I would not be able to complete one of the Conditions of Admission which is to provide UC Reciprocity.
I have sent my adviser several emails but I have not yet gotten any responses.
I called Berkeley admissions office and a lady told me that I should only contact the college adviser that I am assigned to.
But whenever I call my adviser, he has a voicemail that asks admitted students to send an email.
I know the best way to solve my problem is to directly call UC Berkeley but I can’t seem to.
Do any of you guys know whether I will be rescinded?

Thank you.

No, the best way to solve the problem is to communicate to the adviser in the way that THEY want to be communicated to, not what you want.

For all you know, he is busy during the day with meetings, events, etc and HE wants to do that type of work when he is at home, after dinner, while relaxing on the coach.

Send the email. Be specific. Add at the end, add that you would appreciate the opportunity to talk with him for 10 minutes to answer any questions and provide additional context.

BTW, what are you planning to communicate:

  • you have a way to met the requirements?
  • you want an exception?
