Accepted to UCD but can they revoke admission for..?

Hey guys so my friend was recently admitted to UCD with her major of Communications being impacted. One of the stipulations for her was to keep a 3.0 or higher for a certain group of core classes being: Psych, Sociology, and Stats. She received an A and B for Psych and Sociology but is afraid she is going to get a C in her stats class. If she were to get a C for stats it would put her below a 3.0 so she's afraid UCD migh revoke her admission. She called UCD and they basically told her the dean would review her grades/application but they couldn't tell her more. So I was wondering if anyone else could offer her anymore insight?

Thanks!

If one of the conditions for her admission is that she keeps her gpa at or above a 3.0, I would assume that with being below a 3.0 there is a big chance of resulting in a revoked admission. She essentially would not have met the admission requirements that are stated in the contract, especially since that is an impacted major. However, you will not absolutely know until/if it does happen and would she really want to chance that?

Also I have to add that they also told her applications like these are reviewed on a case-to-case basis by her college. I just want to know if there is still hope. Also thanks for the reply misty.

More likely than not, I would say she still gets in since its so close to the requirement and I can’t imagine a school passing that tuition money for mere tenths of GPA points. There’s still a decent chance she gets revoked though. Really, just buckle down and try to get a B or even try to explain to the professor the predicament she is in. One thing that really annoys me is how passive schools are in situations like these which are so common.
