Accepted To UCF Fall 2012!!

<p>Yay now gotta get in my Honors App and my other college Apps (UF, maybe Georgia Tech) that I haven't gone around to doing. Also accepted to USF.</p>

<p>I applied 9/26 and was notified 10/07
My stats:</p>

<p>In-State
SAT: 1370 M + R, (2050 super scored, 720 CR, 650 M, 690 W) Retook SAT recently.
ACT: 31 (retaking for hopefully UF honors)
GPA: 3.9 UW/ 5.0 W (No dual enrollment or IB! I took AP classes!)
Rank: 3/ 650+
-No letter of Recs, might have had Counselor Rec Form but never confirmed.
-I chose to answer the essay topics with two separate essays but you can combine it into one- either way works. I did the Why I chose to apply? in 200 words, pretty decent and I did the qualities I would contribute to the UCF community, cheesy but it was ok)
-Almost 180 hours of community service
-Lots of extracurricular stuff too:
Mu Alpha Theta (secretary, vp)
Beta Club (secretary, now vp but wasn't on app)
Quiz Bowl
Rockets & Robotics Club (some positions)
Teen Voices (secretary, p)
NHS
Envirothon (captain)
AP Scholar</p>

<p>My Senior year schedule:
Lit & the Arts - My only non-AP, for one semester
AP Spanish Language
AP Microeconomics
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
AP English Literature and Composition
AP U.S. Government and Politics

AP Macroeconomics</p>

<p>While I'm at it please feel free to send me tips for any of these classes! While I like to challenge myself immensely, I do not pass every exam, certainly not with flying colors (passed 7/10, avg score of 3.) and I struggle (I'm a gringo taking AP Spanish!). </p>

<p>I ain't gifted either, just crazy and a hard worker and love to learn.</p>

<p>I think I applied around the same time as you, more or less. I have a 4.2 college GPA (on a 4.0 scale, ACT says I have a 3.92 lol) and a 1720 SAT. My extracurricular are Mu Alpha Theta (VP in junior year), Key Club (two head chair positions), National Honor Society, Tech Team, and Debate Team (member of the NFL). I also have about 200+ volunteer hours.</p>

<p>I applied for Summer 2012 (I’m excited to go to college; the sooner, the better :D)…my only concern is my 490 in Critical Reading for the SAT.</p>
