Warren dorms are great. Triples are crowded, but they're crowded at every college (except Revelle).

As long as you're not switching into an impacted major, changing majors is extremely easy. Almost too easy :P

unochamp: the biology dept itself is impacted. so if ecology is listed under bio dept, it must be impacted as well which means you can switch from ecology to any other impacted major in the bio dept or any other dept with ease. this means you can be admitted to any impacted bio major and switch to bioengineering which is also impacted.

but revelle in general looks like a series of prisons at night XD i've been to chem review sessions at night there and it looks pretty analogous i must say. warren on the other hand is very homely. i think the suite style system is very helpful in terms of meeting people. there is no way that you'll be lonely unless you choose not to associate with your suitemates, which is rly sad. i have a suitemate that isolates herself but i believe she has a bunch of friends from her high school in other colleges so that may be the reason why we never really see her. anyhow, the dorms are pretty nice especially those facing the canyon cuz of the beautiful view of the canyon and fresh air that sweeps through the suite if the balcony door is left open.

Warren - human biology!

warren fall '09! (neuroscience and physiology)

wow there are a lot of neuroscience and physiology.
Warren fall '09: Biochemistry/Chemistry!!!

Everyone’s majors seem so interesting. I was accepted to Warren Fall '09 as Mathematics major.

Fall Admit '09, Mechanical Engineering :)

Fall '09
Computer Engineering =)

fall
computer science!

Fall 09

Mechanical Engineering

I’m reading over the GEs for Warren College. What programs of concentration or area studies would be good to pursue? Can I study aero engineering classes that are not in my curriculum for Mech. Engineering?

Fall '09
Computer Science.

For the GEs, you need one set from Humanities/Fine arts and one set from Social Sciences.
So no, another engineering thing would not count.

Does anyone know if the APs that make you ‘exempt’ from a course would to towards satisfying one of these reqs, though?

Info on APs are in this pdf
http://warren.ucsd.edu/current_students/academic_life/advising/publications/advising_handbook.pdf

you gotta scroll down a bit to find it.
(after it loads, its quite a large file)

edit: OH, there is also info about the programs of concentration.

winter admit
Undeclared

wow, lots of good info on that pdf… still I don’t have any idea of what to pick for my area studies or programs of concentration… engineering/physics has been the only thing I’ve wanted to study…

I’ll figure something out I’m sure…

thanks for the link again,
Ogi

Ok, after reading over the PDF file, as an engineering student, I should completely disregard the Programs of Concentration, and only look into Area Studies…

Makes my academic planning prior to seeing an academic advisor becom a lot more thurough…
