Winter admit
Major:Undeclared

So... how's the dorms and food?

I got admitted to Warren for winter as well.
Major: bioengineering.

I am gonna probably end up going to Cal Poly SLO

accepted to warren fall 09! bioengineering:premed major.

Hi, I'm undeclared but interested in English and communications. How is Warren for those people? I heard that it's great for science majors, but is it okay for the humanities/social sciences types?

Thanks.

I think warren is great for any major. We have the second most lax GE's. (after Muir of course) Its just a little bit easier for engineering majors on the GEs side/ (more specifically they get to do just 2 area studies (3 courses each) instead of 2 programs of concentration (4 each).

hey im in at warren and applied undeclared, but want to change to engineering. how feasible is this?

warren 09! neuroscience and physiology :)

Is there a facebook yet for UCSD Class of '13?

@hamburgler2: I'm pretty sure changing majors is easy as long as it isn't into an impacted one (anything bio-related if I'm not mistakend).

hamburgler2 and anyone else wondering that: do a google search for ucsd impacted majors or something

CV isn't spectacular, but Earl's Place (which is open until 2) makes up for it

Dorms aren't bad either

Just be happy about the GE's, they're very forgiving, especially to engineers

warren, physiology and neuroscience.

i was wondering:

what's considered Biology-related, is it major that falls under "Biological Sciences" divison? so would Ecological, behavorial, evolution ( [majortable ) fall under bio-related, even though it just touches on biology stuff?

if not, what exactly falls under the impacted majors list... cuz in ucsds main list, ( Undergraduate Majors at UCSD](http://www-biology.ucsd.edu/undergrad/majors/majortable.html) ), ecology doesn't seem to be noted as impacted...

can someone clear this up?

also, what are the rules for transferring from one impacted bio major to another bio major? do you still have to fill out that application?

Let me google that for you

First result.

yeah, i already looked that up, and searched all over biological sciences ucsd page. their site says biology majors impacted, but it lists ecology under their department. does that mean ecology is an impacted major? no where in the google searches does it list out that Ecology is an impacted major. it states all "biology majors" are impacted.

Hmm in that case, my bad for misunderstanding the question. I would assume that just the Biology major itself is impacted, and nothing else since it lists only the major and not the department. Best would be to call and ask the biology department. Sorry I'm of no further help, I don't have a single clue about the Biology dept and majors...computer engineer myself.

Yeeeyuh! Warren, fall '09 - neuroscience & physiology

Hmm lots of neurosci & phys. already..

Warren 09'
biochemistry and cell biology

woohoo

yeah, i emailed them...
anyways for now...

Warren fall 09 - Ecology, Behavior & Evolution
hoping to change to cell bio or microbio

Warren for bioE: biotech
