I was wondering if the people who have been accepted would be willing to share their transfer essays, especially the "why college X" ones. Im pretty sure most of the people here are smart and ethical enough not to copy or plagiarize.. As for me, im a decent writer at academic papers, but I think my admission essays tend to lack magic, and i plan to use those essays as inspiration to inject life into my transfer essays. So anyone willing to share?

(Accepted essays may also mean admitted or waitlisted but not rejected)

Transfer essays are very different from freshman essays. You may see tons of topics on boards about "Please read my essay!!!" and the like--heck, College Confidential has a whole forum on it. The reason is because freshman essays can be assessed in ways that transfer essays cannot: does it "stand out," is it creative, is the topic appropriate?

Transfer essays aren't about creativity and quirky stand-out topics, generally. They are more about what makes your current college situation unsatisfactory and how the transfer college is unique in assisting your goals. In many ways, transfer essays are more personal and individualized.

If someone is willing to share their essay with you, it may be tough to apply to your situation. Everyone has different reasons for transferring.
