So I know that last year there were some issues with the housing application... Like people who actually waited for the time specified did not get housing as most people had figured out the form went active earlier. Is the system still the same; can we sign up when the form goes active? Or are you guys not allowing the form to go active until 9?

Also, is W&M Pathways just for freshmen, or are transfers allowed to do it/ is there a transfer version?

Transfers aren’t guaranteed housing? Oh no I was going to wait until after I received my last decision before I applied for housing, but it looks like that won’t be a possibility if I want to live on campus.

What day does the housing application go online? Is it before the deposit deadline?

The housing application goes live on May 7 at 9:00am. Because of the confusion last year they have set a specific time this year when the site will open to give everyone a fair shot. Students can apply for housing even if they have not yet decided to go to W&M. A lot of this detail will be in your formal admission letter and is on the transfer welcome website.

When do we actually find out if we are being offered housing?

That’s a question for Residence Life but we think it’s normally early to mid-June

Probably a stupid question, but can we apply for housing before making the deposit?

@Anthro, yes. As mentioned above, you don’t have to have decided to attend W&M (i.e. submit a deposit) to apply for housing.
