anyone out there? who's going?

no decision letter until may 1.

i got mine yesterday

congrats...um please tell me:

When you applied

Your stats

Supplementary materials submitted (if any such as essay, LORs, midterm grades, etc.)

Was the package big or small? (Just curious)

That'll help me see where I stand. Again, congratulations!

oh never mind the stats...i've spoken with you before through the pm system. I remember now...yeah...congratulations man...i'm still waiting for mine...wish me luck.

i sent in the app in january w/ no extras....so they've had my stuff for a good while...they used a large envelope

I'm a transfer student at Tulane and I would advise you guys to join as many clubs as possible and to go Greek when you get here. Transferring here makes it extremely difficult to meet people. I didn't join a frat or any clubs and my social life here has gone so far down hill here.

My daughter was accepted but will not be attending.

I got into Tulane, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go... I haven't visited yet. Is anyone worried about living in post-Katrina New Orleans? I'm hoping to get into Vanderbilt, but if that doesn't work out Tulane is my only real option. I'd love to go to Tulane - it's a great school - I'm just worried about the city...but should I be??

i was down there and i have spoken to current tulane students, it seems fine to me and from what i understand tulane is in its own bubble and other than the comm service you never see the affected parts

There is no reason to worry about Uptown, the neighborhood that surrounds Tulane. The businesses are now all open seven days a week; most have resumed to normal/semi-normal hours. Even the suburbs like Metairie are returning to normal.

I was accepted. I am very grateful. Congrats to the rest of you.

congrats aka fizzle!

I was accepted into Tulane, but not into UT-Austin. That just doesn't make any sense to me.

are you from texas 2bfree?

yeah ut gets so full bc theres some thing in texas where if you are in top 10% of your grad class you are automatically accepted into whatever state school you wish....or so i've been told....

Yes, I'm from Austin, TX. I think you're right, they did say they didn't have enough space.
