Accepted!

I got that e-mail too.

Did everyone that received this email apply for the Business school?

Yeah, my RSVP form didn't work either.

is it only PURELY for business school i did OLIN AND CAS

whattt whys everyone hearing already... i havent heard anything, i applied to cas and olin also. im scared.

Congrats everyone!
I received this e-mail as well today. I think it's only for the Olin School.
As far as scholarships go, I applied for the Dean's Business Scholarship and I didn't even make it to the finalist round, so I'm not too sure how if this has any correlation...
The all-expense paid weekend is a great perk though, as it gives even more encouragement to visit the school. Maybe I'll be seeing some of you shortly...

I was accepted. I have never been to the campus so the all expense paid trip should be very fun! I hear that Wash U is gorgeous.

I applied to the CAS as well as Olin, but I listed Olin as my number 1 choice.
Does anyone know if I will still be considered for CAS or am I taken off of the list since I was accepted to my first choice?

Thanks, and congrats!

oh shoot....i hope i didn't list olin as my first choice.....damnit

oh no.............. my first choice was kind of a dual degree, so it listed olin and cas as my first choice, then olin 2nd and cas 3rd, maybe thts why i havent received an email?!!!?? i want to get accepted!!

Congrats ppl!

There is an Art weekend also scheduled for April 6. My daughter will be attending it - so those invitations are not just for Olin.

She applied to Art and CAS, and was accepted by art. It is my understanding that she can take classes from CAS and receive a dual degree (in fact 30% of art students do) and that there is transferability from one school to another. So, if you are accepted to Olin, you can double major with CAS - no problem. I believe that Wash U. chooses one school to be your homebase, but this does not proclude you from taking courses in other schools. This explains why academic standards are so strict for incoming art students - they must be acceptable to the other schools also, because once on campus they could transfer over should they wish to do so.

Engineering tends to be a bit more selective than normal Arts & Sciences, and perhaps Business is also. Therefore Wash U. "parks" you under the more difficult of the schools allowing you the most flexibility when on campus.

Now, I am not the expert, so my final advice is to call Admissions and ask : )

I just checked my email and I got the Olin acceptance letter as well. Congrats to all those who did!

Which one? There were two. I got another one today. It said:

Dear John,

Congratulations! Please accept this as an early notification of your admission to Washington University. Later this month you will receive formal notification of your admission from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. You have accomplished a great deal in high school and have much to contribute to the college or university you join.

It is my pleasure to invite you and your parents to a reception in [taken out]in the Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center on the Washington University campus on Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A number of our faculty, staff, and current students will be on hand to welcome you.

Please go to [taken out] in order to RSVP for this event by Monday, April 17. If you have questions about this event, please call [taken out]

I look forward to meeting you personally on Sunday, April 23.

Sincerely,

[taken out]

yeah i got both, the first one said "congrats on the letter you already recieved" but i havent recieved a letter yet lol

and does anyone know olin's rankings relative to other business schools?
is there any substantiated evidence to indicate that olin is easier to get into than the CAS?

woo i got in today too!

for those of you who already got in, could you please post your stats and how much "interest" you showed in Wash U?

Uh, my stats are on the official class of 2010 thread.

And I have never been to wash U lol, I asked for more literature from them such as brosures and such but never went there..

I'm loooking forward to being flown out tho!!!

Judging especially by the very good stats of the people accepted on this forum, is it me or these acceptances are sort of likely letters (or early writes? - i don't know the difference)? and oh yeah congrats on the acceptances!

i do hope it is ><, or either just for ppl who stated olin clearly as their first choice ><

hummm~will an international student gets one as well?
