Congrats to all accepted students!! We saw in the material we received that Honors College offers are made by the end of February. Does anyone know when merit aid offers are expected?
@pickledginger you are a very high prospect for Honors at CLA, as well as scholarship money. Last year Honors first came out in later October, and scholarship packages first started to arrive in Nov. Hopefully you will receive at least the National award (up to $10,000 per year) as well as an invitation to the honors program.

@3lovingmom - she should make sure UMN knows her NMSF status so that she is informed of the $10,000 Gold Scholarship. As an OOS’er she is also eligible for the National (up to $10,000) - with her high stats she is a likely candidate for this as well. Last year first round of scholarship notifications was in Nov.
S got yet ANOTHER email today asking him to complete his application, when he was accepted more than 3 weeks ago. Wow, really makes me feel like this school is interested…
Has anyone accepted to the Carlson School of Management gotten into honors as well? I’m assuming I just didn’t get in, but one of my friends accepted to CBS go into honors and it said so in her original acceptance letter and no one from CSOM has said they got honors, so I’m curious if CSOM students get honors later or what

I feel like my daughter’s decision to not study for the ACTs is going to affect her chances of receiving merit scholarships and getting into honors at CSE. What are everyone else’s thoughts on her chances of scholarship money and honors? Despite her low-ish ACT score compared to other CSE students, she’s never gotten below an A-, and that’s in current University of MN classes.
I don’t know if I have a shot but I’m applying to college of Education & Human Development at the U. I have a 3.25 with a 25 ACT. I know that specific college is not as rigorous.
@WishYouWereACat I believe in year’s past, you have needed a 34 to be invited to honors in CSE, but you can always apply to get in once you a student. Not sure since your daughter is in PSEO there already, if she could apply if not invited?
