Accepted

I'm pretty sure I got the 22k scholarship but they didn't tell me how much I got in my e-mail.

All it said about a scholarship was :

Congratulations again on your acceptance to Tulane University and on your scholarship! As an accepted student with outstanding academic credentials, you are also invited to participate in Tulane’s Honors Program.

I checked the website today and was accepted after being deferred
I guess I'll find out more information when I get the real letter

For the record, I was rejected from UCONN (instate), minnesota and florida.
This is pretty surprising.

I got a letter today about getting into the Honors Program, but it says nothing about a scholarship.

Are these two exclusive things?

the honors program and the scholarship are seperate, but there is a pretty large overlap between the two

actually, if you get into the honors program, I believe you also automatically get the 22k scholarship. (my dad asked the admission office)
someone asked, and it is very much based on test scores. (*edit: mine are 1570/2300, since missysnafu was wondering) i heard one story (on another thread) of someone who took a year off, got her scores up and reapplied for honors/scholarship and got it (one or both - im not sure). soooo... yeah. obviously her transcript hadn't changed other than that.

so....all you 22k scholarship people....who's going to tulane?

Son is still undecided. I think the visit will help the decision.

I finally got the actual letter in the mail today. 22k + honors.
