accepted?

i got my acceptance online sometime last week, i think it was tuesday (but got no e-mail. weird, right?). but, i haven't gotten anything in the mail from them yet.

anybody else accepted yet? and, if so, how long did it take to receive a packet in the mail?

Congratulations! We have been impressed with Tulane. We are still waiting to hear as our Senior applied similarily to how you did. We expect to hear soon and will post once we hear. Did you find out if you received a scholarship? Again congratulations.

It came within a week of the email. A nice certificate. We too are impressed with Tulane's commitment to selling what they obviously believe has great merit.

... what i listed was a valid question and i don't see at all how it merits a joke response. i asked out of curiosity, not anxiety or panic.

that was immature of you.

it took a couple weeks for me. I think it was like 20 days or something like that. Don't worry :) I dunno it might have taken longer for me because they gave me a scholarship. Perhaps theyre doing the same for you. It'll come. Oh and I didn't get a packet. It was just a letter, and no email either.

psht, lame.

alright :) thanks for the info you guys.

When did you guys send your app in? I sent mine in on approx the 23 of Oct. and still haven't heard back. I need to know! I keep dreaming of being accapted, literally!

thats like a week and a half ago.... lol

be patient, it'll come. Mine took maybe 3-4 weeks exactly.

Mine was submitted Oct. 17- they wrote me the acceptance letter on Oct. 31, and I got it in the mail on Nov. 3. So about 2 weeks for me.
Now, I never checked online because I thought I wouldn't hear until December-ish. And I'm a LA resident so I was guaranteed admission under their LA resident plan, so I was really surprised with how fast they got back to me.

i applied on the... 15th and heard back on the 30th. so yeah, about two weeks until online acceptance.

i got my acceptance in early october. if you check your application status, it will tell you if you got accepted (that's how i first found out). a couple days later, i got my letter in the mail.

I got accepted on Oct. 24th and I sent in the application on Oct. 12th. I also got a package in the mail about 8 days later.

Yankeefan, did you hear about any merit $ in your package or does that come later?

I applied the last week of September, but the high school took another 3 weeks to send the transcript and teacher rec's. I heard 3 days after they received everything (maybe the 29th), quite by accident, I was following up to make sure the guidance department got the stuff off. Hooray I'm going to college! It's my 4th-or 5th choice so it takes all the safeties off the long list!

Stats look pretty competitive, it wasn't the easy in I thought it was. U.S News has it listed on their "lowest percentage accepeted" list 38% (and that was LAST year). The average GPA and test grades were considerably higher than many other schools that I thought were more competitive. Good thing I didn't know... Now SHOW ME THE MONEY.

I see the generous merit aid as more of a coupon to make themselves more competitive to say Wisconsin, out of state.

Hope its a positive sign of things to come...if not, I'll be the gal with the English Book in the corner sipping a hurricane come August!

Congrats to you all!

Yes, in the package I received a $24,000 merit scholarship and acceptance into the honors program.

Congrats yankeefan! Great news, and you should be very proud and pleased.

Can you please share your stats to get some waterlevel here?

Website said I was excepted a week and a half ago, still no "package". I e-mailed asking when I can expect something in the mail and haven't gotten a response (no way to treat a potential student). How long it it take ya'll (see I'm practcicing) to get something via mail???

My son applied in September. Was notified by letter in middle of October of acceptence and a $20,000 per year merit scholarship. Website doesn't say anything about being accepted. No big deal.

Now we just have to figure out about the other $27,000 required to go to Tulane. Also having to look at other options. 1 school has already promised a full ride. Another has about a 90% chance of a full ride. Third is a full ride if he gets accepted. Tulane sure would be nice, but money is a factor.

Anyway, just wanted to say that from application to acceptence was about 4 weeks. Maybe 5.

salem- calm down. It all depends on how far away you live. You know you're in... it's not as if waiting a week for the hard copy version will make a difference.
