Accepted!!!!!

Today when i got home from school i got my acceptance letter for GSP which is still really awesome....this is like three weeks before the notification date. by the way i applied ED!!!!

Anways im so excited later

out of curiosity...
what were ur stats

Jesus. They're sending them out EARLY this year, wow.

what school did you apply to? and that'd also be cool if you posted your stats if you don't mind...

wow...congrats

his stats are in the NYU ED 2011 Roster thread

makes me nervous since his stats are better than mine

Also....is it still a binding agreement?

Nope, it's not binding until you accept the offer. They send these out early to give you a chance to make up your mind if you still want to go to NYU even though you didn't get into the school that you originally applied for. Usually what they'll do is have an info session you can attend, or if you're too far away, they'll do a phone interview. Then you have to make up your mind, and send in your deposit, etc. if you decide yes, just like everyone else who gets accepted.

But yeah...congratulations man. You're going to have a good time here. :)

your stats are really good...and you got gsp'd????? where do you think in your app could have been the reason???

Congrats though!

Everyone knows GSP is underrated.

goddamn. your gpa is about eight million times higher than mine and you got gsp'd. hopefully applying to gallatin will make the difference for me. they're more lenient about gpa, no?

Surprising? Shouldn't be.

....I'm starting to think NYU is just lying to everyone and GSP is really the better school.....they just don't know how to break it to everyone.....

or something..

Have you compared stats of Tisch/Gallatin kids vs. GSP kids? They're jokes.

The only real comparisons are CAS and Stern....

And if you want real insider information...it's rumored the bigwigs are planning on making GSP a seperate program. Like, its own school. I.E You can apply to the program. It's already been separated from SCPS to FAS...

Why is it a joke?

From my own personal experiences....I can safely say GSP kids' stats are either at the same level or beyond the level of kids' in other schools.

And while I understand Tisch kids are dependent on their portfolio...it doesn't justify their pretentiousness. Their stats are the lowest.

And what about Gallatin, firewalker?

I don't know how to feel about GSP..I guess the small classes are a plus though.

Tony, will you be accepting?? was your financial aid decent?

Gallatin? Generally speaking, lower than CAS.
