I'm not sure to be honest with you, I am like the MOST indecisive person on planet earth!!!! I actually wasn't planning on applying to U of R because I know that I got a scholarship there and everything, so it is going to be kind of hard to say no...not to mention, it's like an AMAZING school for pre-med. So, I guess what I am trying to say is that I have no idea. I LOVE the school, but I'm also kind of over the whole Rochester scene...if it were anywhere else, it would be a no-brainer for me!! Hopefully after this week I'll know all of my decisions so I can start narrowing down my choices!!! GL w/Cornell and Columbia!! :)

Haha, I guess I'm not the only one who got the RIT bit. It's actually kind of funny because I also applied to Penn, which is like 10 minutes away and when I tell people that I applied there, they've either never heard of it, or they associate "Penn" with "Penn State"...argh.

yeah, for those who are facing that disconcerting fact that many of the commoners do not understand the prestige, do not fret. It seems like we are all going Premed, and thats what really matters, there is a reason why it is in the top 20 for the Premed list via PR or whatever. The grad schools and med schools, as well as the scholars in academia sure know what the school is.

Not me, I'm going for poli-sci...number 11 on the crooked U.S. News rankings. :)

yeah. . . .poli sci at rochester is amazing. If I was going to do a non-science major there, it that would be it.

Ahhh. . .. US News, it's so crooked yet you can't help looking at it! Some schools get programs ranked in the top 10 when they don't even have programs in the feild. . . .i believe this happened to MIT once.

When do our financial aid packages come?

I know I have the Bausch & Lomb Award. . . . .but I'd really like to see how my package come out. I love the school, but it would be even nicer if wouldn't put me into too much debt.

I called UR, they said 7-10 days after your acceptance letter.. Mine was postmarked on the 18th, so I assume it will be mailed today at the latest..

I called and asked last week and the guy told me that all of the scholarship decisions are going to be mailed monday, so you never know..

I heard on one of the boards (maybe even this one) that they go out tomorrow.

I hope they come soon, things come slowly out here in CA

you guys get your financial aid yet?

Any new people accepted/rejected/waitlisted?, it seems like everyone got their decision and posted for CC so far hehe.

Yeah, I'm in Wisconsin, and I haven't received anything either :(

did you get accepted to the school Melly?

accepted here too...only difference is 'im an international student!!!

what country are you accepted from?

ethiopia....i study there now but lived in 7 other countries including the states...so i guess i bring alot of diversity to rochester...

haha nice!
