accepted!

wooo- I totally wasn't expecting the package today when getting the mail. I got 23,200 from the Dean's Scholarship. Whether or not I go will be contingent on how much aid I get from other schools.

How'd everyone else fare?

Congrats!!!

I got accepted today too, to Lincoln Center. $6300 scholarship and all that loan crap that I don't understand yet. Stingy compared to other places, but I'm very happy nonetheless.

I just saw my mailman walking into the building .. .I guess I'll find out in 20 min. or so . .

I didn't get anything today... boo. I hope I wasn't rejected.

I didn't hear anything either. Hopefully it's coming anyday now! Congratulations to the people who got in, that's great! Now I'm excited, I can't wait to hear.

I got in!!! I will most likely be attending next yr. unless I decide to go to Northeastern... I can't decide. I did get 5,925 in aid though.

Chrisso, are you in the Bard livejournal community?

yeah! lol. I joined it because my friend is applying there!

Accepted - Still have to check it out

accepted-- this is my first real acceptance letter. yay! loyola scholar.
1420/3.9/790/660/640

My son also recieved a Loyola scholarship. It was generous, but what concerns me about it is that it does not adjust with raises in tuition (near as I can tell), and also it has to be renewed every year - which gives them the option of pulling the rug out from under him. I'm pretty concerned it has been offered as an incentive for him sign up - but who knows about their commitment next year or the year after that?

Accepted LC--full tuition scholarship

Is anyone going to the reception they're having the weekend after next? Anyone planning to stay overnight with a student?

Sarahina_cup...would you mind elaborating a little on your scholarship? My S and I looked at Fordham last month (liked the idea of NYC) and he seemed to like it. The biggest downside I've heard from so many sites is their lack of financial aid. He hasn't gotten test scores yet, but is an honors student and URM if that matters. Was it based on merit? Someone told him (not at the college) that if you score over 1430 on your SAT they will give you a scholarship. Any enlightenment you can give would be appreciated. He would love to go to school in the city, is pretty social, but asks about "quiet dorms" and doesn't like any college noted to be a big party school. Fordham seems like a good fit and "maybe" NYU.

Still haven't heard-- maybe today's the day.

Accepted!

SAT 1390
SAT II's 720/700/650

congrats to everyone who got in!

Congrats! I was accepted to Rose Hill.
