I havent visited UT yet, got in yesterday... and was wondering if anyone that has visited can tell me about the campus, hillel etc. thanks

It's nice. Really nice, its kind of like walking up and down a hill but the whole campus is beautiful and big. You can see the capitol from there and I dont know just go see it for yourself i cant describe how wonderful it is. Where u from anyways?

If you love big towns and such, then the environment will suit you nicely.

I live in Austin and love it. It's a great city, there's a lot to do and is very music oriented. There are a lot of hippies here and things are kind of centered around that lifestyle. The campus is huge, though. It takes like half-an-hour to get from one side to the other. The dorms suck though. Off-campus housing is really common and better than the places the school supplies. Though mdtracie thinks it's beautiful, I don't. It's an urban campus, so the natural beauty just isn't there.

i think ut is nice. i hated texas and the fact that my parents dragged me to live here UNTIL I saw the campus during texas relays...i guess there are some people who don't like it? I suggest you go see it for yourself.

And out of curiosity, kayvee, if you don't like ut, or at least you don't like the surroundings, why did you apply? i'm not trying to start anything, i'm just curious...

i didn't say I didn't like it or the surroundings. i just said it wasn't beautiful in terms of natural beauty. i love it and the surroundings -- the drag is great. i just wanted to include that in case nature is really important to him, because i know it is to some people, just not so much for me.

im from maryland
