Accepted

Congratulations to your D, shelley! Who knows, maybe we parents will all have a real life meet-up on campus!

D just got her acceptance letter today, ED II. Notification was supposed to be Feb 1 (I actually thought Feb 15) but it came today. Fortunately, D got the envelope. Since it was not expected so soon, I would not have opened and probably would have filed it. Anyhow, she was accepted and got scholarship. Her attendance is still to be determined. She did apply to 10 schools and likes each for distinct reasons. The scholarship will certainly be in WPI's favor.

I applied EDII. How do I know whether I accepted? Letter or e-mail or online? I'm an international, mail takes about month to get here

For D it came by mail. Out of curiosity I tried logging into application status link to see what it said about her acceptance and I did not find anything there. Now, there is a possibility that I'm not looking in the right place. But I do not think so. Therefore, unfortunately, I think it is only by mail. Also, if it matters, D's ed II was submitted Nov 24.

What is "D"? or Who is "D"?

"D" is daughter.

dadinator - thanks for translating

Anybody else from EDII?

My son was accepted EDII and got his letter Jan. 16. No information yet on scholarships though.

I just realized that we have all been calling it ED II when it actually EA II.

Right, EA- sorry

hmmm
nothing here yet on an EAII decision.
The date they give for notification is Feb 1 - so we should hear soon, thought the fact that some of you have heard already of your acceptance this round does not bode well for my S. We'll know in a few days I guess

theorymom - I will tell you also that D's application was sent in mid-November. Maybe that plays into how quickly they notify you.

is it true that if I get accepted, they send the mail by express mail, otherwise regular? If it's express it'll take 4-5 days, if not 1 month to get here.

I don't know if they handle international responses differently but D's came with the basic first class postage.

amraa_kaze are you int'l applicant?? I am.
well i don't know but, they mailed via express mail(DHL) for EA1.
i wish they used dhl this time also.

Yes, I am int'l.
So the longer it takes, the lesser the chances. Right?

i don't think so. amraa_kaze
i think they mailed to some domestic applicants who completed their applications very early.

I think they will notify you via e-mail. so don't worry.
all will get their decisions by 2/1.(i hope so. hehe)
well it's so so so hard to wait for a long time.!

thanks, it was kinda relief. did they notify you by your WPI account?

I just looked at D's account and it only provides application material info. I also looked at the initial letter accepting her application. It states that the admissions decision would be mailed by Feb 1.
