Accepted today for Computer Science, with a $19000 AJ Drexel Grant.

Was kind of hoping for a little bit more scholarship money, as I’ve already got a full tuition scholarship to Pittsburgh - on that note has anyone had any luck in getting them to increase the scholarship? I sent an email today asking about other scholarships/ possible increases.

anyway, Stats were 35 ACT, SAT CR 760, M 710, W 650, total 2120, some decent ECs

I just checked online and it seems they still don’t have my high school transcripts and recommendations, my counselor already added it to the common app a couple of weeks ago, shouldn’t they have my transcripts by now? (on the common app it says they already have it)

yayoiii - wait for a couple of days and they will show it recorded in their system, it did take a few days for me. If I am not mistaken the school sent this by snail mail as they somehow didn’t accept electronic copy.

if it has been a while then send them an email explaining how long it has been and you are curious and waiting and someone may look at it in Drexel

Accepted to the BS/PhD program for chemical engineering at Drexel! I was awared the Dean’s Scholarship for $18,000 and was also admitted into the Penonni Honors college. My SAT score was 720 Math, 660 CR, 670 Writing. I was in alot of academic clubs and extracurricular activities on top of having over 200+ hours of community service.

Just got into the honors college with a 28,000 AJ grant for 4 years of sports management. It’s my first acceptance, so I’m pretty excited, and I can’t wait to visit!

I got accepted to Drexel BS with 1 Co-Op Option about two weeks ago.

I don’t understand how I got accepted because I never sent in my recommendations or did the essay!

I also was given a Dean’s Scholarship ($15,000)

Stats:
SATs: 1830
ACTs: 28
GPA: 3.96/4
Rank: Top 5%
Extracurriculars: ALOT, I mean ALOT. (Just to name a few: State Officer, President of three clubs, Bagpiper Instructor/Member, 1000+ Volunteer Hours, EMT, etc.)

nice! everyone got it in here! congrats sophistry it only took about 4 days for them to show your decision online? My application was complete yesterday and I am really excited for the decision, nothing yet though… I can’t sleep because I think I’ll be rejected, but it’s always worth a shot and the war’s not over :D

Thanks. Congrats to everyone else. But it took them a while to respond. My app was complete at least two weeks ago, maybe more. I don’t know how long it’ll take you to get a reply. I saw some other people on here getting a response sooner.
Good luck! What major did you apply for, if you don’t mind?

I applied for architecture, and unfortunately my stats aren’t so competitive at all But I hope they have mercy haha
For what major did you apply? Do you think it might take longer for cetain colleges to make their decisions or is it, on average, all the same?

Accepted to Physics (3 co-op), I thought my stats were good, but I only got 19,000 dean’s scholarship. Maybe because I’m international student.
SAT: 2280
ACT: 33 (English 36, Math 36)
TOEFL: 116
GPA: 3.92 (No.3 in 1365 class)
very good recommendations: best student in my 33 years of teaching
Not many ECs, but interesting
One science research, two humanity researches

I think it’s because of the VIP application I used, I didn’t have enough space to tell them I’m more than my scores. So I’m trying to appeal more scholarships

hmmm… I wonder if scholarships are determined by major? Cause it seems that in science/engineering majors, something Drexel is known to be better in, people with very high scores get less than those with a lot lower scores in other majors?

I had thought my getting only 19,000 for computer science with a 35 act was a fluke, or maybe they didn’t like my essays, but now it seems everyone in science/engineering isn’t getting a lot.

if that’s true, it kind of hurts my hope for an appeal = /

^^^Computer Engineering. My stats weren’t competitive either. I’m surprised I got in, especially since engineering is so popular here. Are your stats higher than mine?

You should be getting a decision soon, I think.

Accepted for Chemical Engineering with $19,000 AJ Drexel Grant. Found out about a month ago, but finally posted here.

SAT: 740 R, 720 M, 690 R
GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.7 W

TimXie: They say a month, but I found out about two or three days after they got my SAT scores and the same thing happened to a friend of mine (who’s scores were lower than mine).
