Acceptees: In here! Official celebration thread!

As the deferrees are getting collected together, let's get those of us who were officially admitted into another thread, just to make potential communication among one another easier and to be able to rejoice without having to sprawl annoyingly over the entire forum. This thread is for all acceptees whether or not you know you're attending for sure.

So, '13 admittees, a few getting-to-know-you questions:

1) What's your state/country of residence?
2) What do you think you might major in?
3) What one particular part, if any, of your application do you think sealed the deal for you?
4) Now that you're in, what's the likelihood that you'll actually enroll at Chicago?
5) Do you have Facebook/Myspace/etc., and would you be interested in contacting other '13ers via these sites to start getting to know them now?

My answers will be coming up shortly in a reply.

1) Maine
2) Classics or poli sci/gov
3) Probably my essays and my success at Academic Decathlon
4) Quite high--I will be completing RN applications to some other schools, since UChicago tuition is a little too high to leave my fate up to the whims of the financial aid guys there, but as long as I get fairly decent FA, I probably will enroll
5) I have Facebook, joined the '13 group there set up by current students, and would love to talk to some other '13 admittees...if you're interested, PM me and I'll give you my name to find on FB

YEAH CHICAGO!!

1) Maryland!
2) Anthropology/Linguistics
3) I think my essays were pretty good. My ECs were kind of original, I guess.

5) Facebook, and I'll definitely join the '13 group.

I'm reaaaally relieved to have gotten into a college-- ANY college-- but the fact that it's Chicago makes it that much awesomer.
