6) Gogol Bordello, Balkan Beat Box, Manu Chao, The Clash, Young Marble Giants, Kultur Shock, Mano Negra, Circo Abusivo, Joy Division, New York Dolls, various punk, post-punk and culture fusions... Also all music that is danceable, even if it is horrible. I'm perfecting my "robot" and my "going groceries". As in the dance moves. I'm already pretty good at non-dance related grocery shopping, although not at robots.

1) Sacramento, California
2) Biology (specializing in genetics or neuroscience)/Philosophy...most likely a bio major and creative writing minor, but we'll see :)
3) my essays and teacher recs, undoubtedly
4) 100 % no question. This was my first and only college app.
5) I'm already apart of the facebook group for applicants...guess we need a new one though. :) someone create a group and i'm there.

Also, for all you fellow Harry Potter fans out there...if it isn't already, Chicago must be introduced to the Intercollegiate Quidditch Association (IQA). I kid you not, it's a real thing. Anyone else heard of it?

1) Home of Joe Biden -- NOT Scranton, PA!
2) Classics
3) I think that all of my essays were really good, and I know that at least 1 teacher rec and my counselor rec was probably awesome, the other two i'm like 99.9% sure were pretty damn good.
4) I really don't know..I like Chicago a lot but my parents? "It's not even an Ivy." Gotta love the Asian Parents. Actually I'll probably end up at Chicago if I don't get in to Yale, Columbia, or UPenn, and don't get a staggeringly good offer ($$$-wise) from one of my (six) safeties, and all of the above are quite likely...but I really don't know yet.
5) Not ready to Chicago-facebook-whore myself yet lol.
6) Sufjan, I listened to Chicago on or about the time of opening my acceptance letter and immediately updated my facebook status with a Sufjan reference lol. But my favorite band is Muse!! Closely followed by The Killers, The Postal Service, and a crapload of others that are enumerated in the "Chicago 09'ers, let's get to know each other" thread..but I am going to fail my calc final Wednesday so I'll further discuss my love of music later!

And OMG crasian8, that's awesome, I've never heard of it..but I'm assuming that surely Chicago had to have been the originator of the IQA, if not one of the first few members?

3) Probably my utterly insane essays.
4) Fairly good. It's not my first choice, but it's pretty close to the top. It'll mostly depend on where else I get in and (heavily on) financial aid options.
5) I have fb, so if anyone's dying to contact me just message me and I'll give you my name. I've been in the applicants group, and I'm joining the accepted group. However, with the possible exception of super awesome people (which I'm sure many of you could count as) I don't want to end up getting too attached to people in case I don't end up at Chicago, if that makes sense.

PS If anyone who was a part of the pokemon discussion before (or who wishes they could have been) is going to be going to any kind of admitted students thing at the same time as me, or if we end up going there, I am officially demanding that we have a pokemon party. No objections allowed.
