I am soo down for Quidditch.

Quidditch? Absolutely yes. Reminds me of the broomball they have there that my admissions counselor was going on about. I LOVE the idea of a Quidditch team.

I would happily enjoy Quidditch. We should also have that game they used in Ender's Game for training. I don't remember exactly how it goes, but I remember when I was reading those books it seemed like fun.

Besides the amazing academics and great people, the fact that the school sorts of looks like Hogwarts really made me want to attend. I love the buildings and the halls. The library's seriously remind me of ones that would be in Hogwarts.

Ahaha, very true, thegreentrombone.

@Machiavelli
That's good news... I haven't visited yet, and I REALLY want to like the campus (and students and classes and professors and other things that are capable of being liked), because on paper (and on the internet), UChicago seems so perfect. I'm visiting this winter or spring, I guess, and crossing my fingers for as good a visit experience as I had at Reed... Hogwarts sounds about right.

Speaking of visits... If any of you have visited already, what was it like? Broad question, I know, but I'm desperate for any and all info.

StercusAccidit, I only took the tour, but it was brilliant. Old-school buildings, botanical gardens...and did i mention the gargoyles? I found everyone appropriately geeky and welcoming. My background on my phone is one of the libraries; it's crazy cool! I have no doubt that it will be a more than pleasant experience when you arrive.
