Has anyone heard for the Regular decision, for undergrad yet??
My son was differed for “Holistic Review” in December. His mid-term grades were sent the first week of February. No word yet.
My son applied back in October and was on “holistic review”…finally saw his ACCEPTED on DuckWeb.
So do not give up (HelenWheelz)…a long time to wait but worth it in the end for us.
status changed today btw
momof2ct! I am so excited and happy for you and your son. As a mom I know the stress you were feeling. I don’t have access to my son’s DuckWeb and he will not be home for another 3 hours. Did you or your son receive an email or was it just on DuckWeb? Congratulation to your son!
Still under Holistic Review.
I am still waiting as well. I applied before Jan 15. and my app is still “Under Review”
Iterry9, any news? Nothing has changed here.
I was accepted back in February! But I have a rather strange application, so I think the admissions council paid special attention to my predicament.
@helenwheelz I visited UO this past friday and i talked to an admissions lady and she told me that I have to finish the courses that I am in now, send them the grades then they will accept me. (I am a transfer student)
Sorry, i’m hijacking this thread to ask a question! I was accepted to U-of-O several weeks ago, and just got my financial aid award in the mail a couple of days ago. On it, they awarded me the money from filling out the FAFSA (Federal Pell Grant), and the rest was stuff about work-study, Subsidized Loans, Family Loans, etc. Absolutely nothing about scholarships of any sort.
Does this mean that I received NO money, other than federal aid? I was under the impression that I was a very good student and applicant (my admissions adviser talked with the heads of admission directly so that they could sweep some of the requirements for admission under the rug). Confused, because without scholarships or some kind of aid, I probably won’t be able to pay the exorbitant amount of education, or will at least graduate with a significant amount of student loans.
I believe I cover the requirements for Apex and Summit, and figured I could at least receive one of these awards. Knowing I had a significant chance of receiving those was a large part of the reason why I applied to Oregon in the first place!
Anyhooooo, anybody know any information about this?
P.S.
You spelled acceptance wrong…
If you were to receive a scholarship or grant from the University of Oregon, it would have shown up on your financial aid award letter. We are out-of-state and our son received no scholarships or grants from Oregon. The only financial aid offered was $5,500 in subsidized and unsubsidized loans from the federal government. Under this scenario, out-of-state students are going to end up paying upwards of $200,000 for an undergraduate degree. The numbers for out-of-state cost really boggle the mind.
