Access to 2014 Site

When I login to check my application status, I see a link to the class of 2014 website and I can login to that website as well. It seems that some people can login and others can't. Does that mean those who can log in are admitted?

It seems that way! Maybe you will be receiving a likely letter soon? It seems strange that they would “release decisions” so soon, even though it isn’t official.

does anyone else have this message under the class of 2014 link on the banner page?
“Curious? We hope so. If you haven’t already received an update from us, you will soon.”

i interpreted this to be that we will get some kind of likely letter this week. what do you guys think?

^ Yeah that’s what mine says as well, though I am still without a likely letter. The more I read it, the more it sounds like we might be getting likelys soon.

My question is: Can everyone see the message “Curious? We hope so. If you haven’t already received an update from us, you will soon.”? Or is it only the people who can sign into the directory?

Because if everyone can see that message, then it probably means nothing.

not to jump the gun but someone who got a likely last week wrote this on the forum:
“My Dartmouth account now has a link to the Dartmouth Class of 2014 website, but I don’t remember whether or not it was there before I got the letter.”

so, since at least for me, there was no link to that website last week, i think that people who have a link to that website on their banner pages, and who can login to the class directory, are probably people who will be getting a likely letter soonish. otherwise, that is a BIG glitch on dartmouth’s part.

also, i can make a profile for myself amongst the accepted students in the class directory so that probably means something?

Yeah I noticed that I could make a profile as well; I don’t know about you, but I am now extremely pumped to get the mail tomorrow.

I wish there’s a discussion forum or something on the 2014 page so we can sort of meet each other online:)

I got a likely letter last week and I can see that message as well as the link on my application status menu. Keep checking the mailbox guys!

Got my likely today!

i got one too!

yay!!! Can’t wait to meet you guys!

haha same. Will you both be attending Dimensions?

definitely, unless something expected comes up.

congrats to all of you.

just curious, when did you all submit your applications?

i submitted my app around late december-ish. and yes, i definitely plan to attend dimensions.

is dartmouth your guys’ first choice? what else are you considering?

Mine was submitted pretty early - mid to late October (though my peer rec was much later).

Randy - Good, I’ll hopefully be seeing you there.

My top choices right now are Notre Dame (slightly ahead) and Dartmouth, and I’m still waiting on Princeton and Yale. I prefer ND and Dartmouth over the latter pair, but I suspect that if I were to get into P or Y, it might be significantly cheaper. I’m waiting on Fin. Aid packets before I make any decisions. How about you?

Thickfreakness, just wondering what stats got the likely now… my D’s #1 choice is dartmouth…If its ok and If u dont mind can you post your stats?

800 and 760 on 2 SAT IIs

Activities:
I am an all-state trumpet player, editor of the school paper, president of the community service club, captain of the nationally-recognized quiz bowl team, varsity tennis, and have helped found a service non-profit that has raised over $20,000 (and has been recognized by CNN).

Main Awards: National Merit Finalist, Cum Laude, Harvard Book Award, Cornell Book Award, AP Scholar with Honor, President’s Volunteer Service Award, Scholastic Writing Award (National Gold Medal)

@ thickfreakness - I’m also applying to Princeton (legacy), Williams, Amherst, Brown, Harvard, Yale (deferred EA), and Middlebury (although I might withdraw my app).
