Accidentally put academic renewal when grade was replaced. (UC Davis)

I got into uc davis and did orientation this week. I was looking at the grades that i reported and noticed that 3 of the classes i had replaced (grade replacement) at my cc were reported as 'academic renewal.' at the time i thought that was what grade replacement meant. On the application, there wasnt a place to put 'grade replaced' in so i thought it was academic renewal after reading a little about it though i was wrong. What should i do? Do you think davis has grounds and or will revoke my acceptance status?

Wow! How did that happen? JK
I’m not quite sure but I don’t think classes labeled as academic renewals are considered when calculating your GPA so they were probably left out. Would the grades help or hurt your GPA? Our GPA becomes 0.00 (I feel like a fail when I see it lol) so maybe it wouldn’t hurt your chances too badly. They may have been confused when they saw an A (if that was your grade) reported as an academic renewal since they are usually Ds or Fs. I can just picture their faces.

Definitely call them up and let them know.

wait. i might be wrong but wouldnt a replaced grade be better than AR for UC consideration. i mean, if you retook the class and did well in it.

my gpa im pretty sure stays the same. the classes were replaced after i took them again. academic review nulls the grade just like the replacement. i just don’t know if davis is going to like this or not. i am stressing out because its the weekend and i have to wait until monday to call them, even then it might take a few days for them to review my situation and get back to me.

I think it should be fine, let us know

if it is UCB or UCLA, then you probably need to deal with the admission officer… if it is Davis… you are definitly FINE!!!
