I took two SAT I tests in total, and I sent both of them to Columbia even though one test (2250) has higher scores in ALL sections than the previous test (2120).

Is it really futile to call CollegeBoard and remove one SAT I test??

People are telling me that sending the 2120 test gives a less-favorable impression.

Are you sure? I know Columbia’s policy is to consider the highest scores in each section, but my superscore would still total at 2250.
If my previous test is meaningless in that respect, then wouldn’t more harm be done than good?

Columbia, like many other colleges, has said that it uses highest section scores for determining admission and lower scores are not held against you. Yours is the skepticism very often raised by many on these boards in that they just cannot bring themselves to believe that is true. But consider looking at it this way: you can either believe them or believe they are scumbag liars, and if you believe the latter why are you applying to such a college?

As to your other question, CB will not change your order to send scores.
