I sent my SAT scores to Columbia a few weeks ago for regular decision though I have not sent my application in yet. When I went to send scores for another college today, I realized that I had accidentally sent my SAT I score to Columbia, when I only meant to send my two SAT II tests. Both SAT II tests are 800’s, but the SAT I score is embarrassingly low. I took it sophomore year and never took it again. I’m wondering if it would be wise to call the admissions office and ask to get it removed from their system, or if that would just create more problems? Should I just eat my mistake and hope that one low score doesn’t affect the rest of my application too negatively? Thanks for any advice.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much, Columbia says they will only look at your best (super scored) test scores, and I would take their promise at face value. If you’re really worried about it, by all means call them up and explain your situation but either way you should be fine.
Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns.
Best of luck,
