Accidentally stated I was Non-residential to the state of california on application

HI,
I was accepted to CSU Sacramento but I realized I had stated I was non-residential to California but I am. Will this affect my acceptance? Could I make the change to avoid paying extra fees that do not apply to me?
I will be calling Monday, but was wondering if anyone knew anything for now.

Wait until you speak with someone on Monday.

But I would also send an email, just to have something written on your record.

They should have your student records that indicate California residency.

OOS acceptance rates are typically lower so it’s very unlikely to change your acceptance (if they didn’t realize from your transcript, address, etc. that you may be in-state).

But I’m guessing there a tuition difference, so getting it corrected will certainly be a good thing.

Hi!
Happened to me too for this current semester. Luckily, my spring apps were just a test run to see possible acceptances for fall 2020. Anyways… unfortunately, they can’t make changes to your application if you’ve submitted them already. However, you can email your schools of choice and they will provide you with information to petition your residency. It’s a form you have to fill out along with providing proof of your CA residency.
