accomodation around northeastern

We are headed to Midtown for Parent Weekend. Just thought I’d mention that their website is advertising winter deals $77/night… if you plan future visits it is worth checking.

MIDTOWN HOTEL FEEDBACK

 • old/simple but large clean rooms
 • ask for back wing (our from room had a lot of street noise, on 2nd/top floor)
 • Parent Weekend rate $169, weeknights $259 (minus AAA discount), winter deals
 • good access to the T
 • near Sympong Hall. Very close to campus, especially Matthews arena, where we did Fri night hockey game and Sat night Howie Mandel show.

Suggestion for sidetrip - We stayed in Newport Rhode Island Sunday night. It is about 1.5hrs from Boston.

We stated at the Chandler Inn (Chandler Street and East Berkeley Street) They offer Boutique rooms but we just stayed in the regular Queen. It was $105 per night, the location was fantastic (approx a mile to campus) and we really enjoyed it. Be warned though, the regular rooms are in the older part of the hotel and the bathrooms are tiny. But it you don’t mind those things, and we don’t, then it’s a great deal.
