is it worth it? im going for accounting but hoping down the road to get into stock trading/IB/law school (small chance but ill take it).

....................

I don't think it would make much sense. If you want to become an accountant, then major in accounting. If you want a lot of options, major in econ. You can always go back to school later.

there isnt any way to combine the two into one major? or take one and take a few classes in the other? speaking as an econ major, doing a double with accounting sounds just miserable, and I even like accounting.

Within business, it often does not matter very much what you major in. Major in what most appeals to you, and you can really do anything as long as you excel. If you do well as an accounting major, there's no reason you can't get into IB/Law school etc.

Well said, Jyankees. Since they all would be in the same school (Business), there isn't that much difference between the two. But I would say to minor in Econ and be careful what classes you take for Accounting. This is about making your resume look good. Remember that.
