Hello, I recently got into CSU Sacramento and SJSU for accounting as a transfer and I am having a very hard time choosing between the two. My main goal is to be recruited by a big four company and I have heard it is possible at both schools. I was wondering which school would give me a higher chance of being recruited by one of the big four. I definitely like the environment of sac more and since I have a few friends already attending sac state it would be an easier transition. I was wondering if SJSU is just a better school for accounting in general. Also, I was wondering where accounting is impacted. How hard it it to get accounting classes at both universities. I know san jose would give me a better chance of working in silicon valley, but I wouldn’t mind working in sac (also, what are the pros and cons of working in silicon valley). I have heard it is really hard getting classes at sac and sj so that is my main concern, I would really like to graduate on time.
Go to SJSU. You will be sorry if you don’t. SJSU had strong relationships with each of the big 4 firms as well as grant Thornton, RSM, BPM, Sensiba San Filippo, and Armanino. You will be recruited from here.
