So I'm stuck debating on what exactly would be the best option for my major right now. I came into college thinking I wanted to simply do a B.S. in Business Admin but am finding that I am enjoying Economics much more than expected.

So now I'm thinking I could get a B.A. in Economics AND a B.S. in Business Admin.

Would this give me more opportunities once I enter the workforce, or would I be better off getting a B.S. in Business Admin with a minor in Econ, or a B.S. or B.A. in Econ with a minor in Business Admin.? Which would give me more versatility and job options once I graduate, and a chance for earning a higher salary? Also, is a B.A. in Econ better than a B.S. in Econ? Thank you so much for your help!

Your best bet is the B.B.A in Economics (Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Economics). Econ is much more interesting and applicable than management. When I was taking management, I wondered why would anyone on Earth have to learn such a useless information. I would rather take series of calculus or programming instead.

I agree with Tosh about the math (calculus and then some) and programming. I am not sure I agree witht the BBA approach, but am willing to listen. However, I do know that a BA (or BS, I think) will allow you much flexibility in your program. You could double major in Econ and Computer Science or Math/Statistics. You could major in Econ and minor in CS and math. The reason I like the math department for stat is that is more rigorous than the business statstics (and I have done stat both business and with calculus).
