Accuracy of Barron's Math Level 2 Practice Tests/Last Minute Prep Ideas?

I'm taking the SAT Math Level 2 exam this Saturday, and I just scored 640 on my first practice test in Barron's. Two questions:

1) I know traditionally Barron's tends to be "harder than the real thing"; so, does 640 mean 640, or would a Barron's 640 suggest a higher score on the actual test?

2) With only three days to prepare, what are the best ways to raise my score?

From what i hear a 640 is like a 750+ on the actual exam easily. I don’t know if it’s completely true…

The tests are accurate at all!

with barrons you can add 150 points to get your real score

i had a 660 barrons and a 800 real thing

This is confounding me. I’m convinced that they have changed their ways in the more recent Baron’s I purchased.

I’m not that amazing of a math student. My first SAT I math was a 690. I do well in calc and stuff, but again, I’m not that great. Moreover, I didn’t take pre-calc (I have no knowledge of conic sections, matrices, vectors, and some aspects of three-dimensional shapes. Probability is also iffy). But I’ve been getting 710-760 on the tests I’ve taken so far.

I will most likely skip all the conic, matrix, etc questions on the actual thing, just as I have here. So can I still reasonably expect 750ish?

720 on Barron’s

800 on real thing

I suggest (if you have the money…) you go but the official math lvl 2 prep guide and the BB to see approximately how much easier the real math 2 is. :P

I got 800s on the CB practice tests and high 600s on barrons lol but 800 on real thing last june 2010

So I am taking the Math Level 2 this saturday…I took a practice test today what do you think of a 780???

By the way it was a Barron’s practice test.

i made such silly mistakes!!

well i still have three days

^I think you’ll get 500 if you’re lucky.

OMG!!! lol

is it even possible to get 500?

He was sarcastic

If you got 780 in a Barron’s practice test you will definitely get an 800. :)

Ehh im not sure. I got a 800 on the diagnostic and then a 665 on the 1st test. I took the second one this morning and got 730.

Barron’s is reputed for being much more difficult than the real thing. I think the diagnostics is easier than the other tests. You are in line to get an 800, but obviously nothing is guaranteed. Good luck.

the one I did was the sixth practice test
