Accuracy of Tufts NPC?

I'm seriously considering applying to Tufts ED, but I'm afraid the financial aid package won't be enough since my parents are already paying loans for my sister's college tuition. According to the NPC from college board, I would be getting a vary generous package, and would only need to pay 15k year. If you have experience with Tufts financial aid, how close was your package to the estimate?
Also is there any advantage of applying ED1 over ED2?

Also, do they financial aid packages change from year to year? Will I be given less aid if my sister graduates before my second year in college even though my parents will still be paying off the debt?

Our experience is that NPC is accurate. And yes, your award could change once your sibling is no longer in college, though they will consider existing debt.

As for ED I vs. ED II, ED II is a much smaller pool of applicants, so it could be easier to shine.

The financial aid package is only liable to make a significant change if you have a significant change in your family’s financial circumstance.

As for ED1 vs ED2: the only difference is the deadline. There is no meaningful statistical different in the odds of admission for comparably competitive students. While I’m glad that MichiganGem was able to weigh in on his/her experience with the NPC, the idea that it’s easier to shine in ED2 is simply untrue.
