Just looking for some motivational stories out there…
Has anyone gotten a 30, then increased on their retake? If so, please share your tips, strategies, and test prep that brought you up from a 30.
Thanks!

“Has anyone gotten a 30, then increased on their retake?” pretty sure a ton of people have lol.
@kingofacademia I started out with a 28, and I ended with a 33. Although this is only five points, I think it is a substantial increase. It brought me from being low-average for top schools to high or even above average. You need to take tons of practice tests. There are 11 (that I know of) fully released ACT tests. Five in the official Red book, four online from the earlier “Preparing for the ACT” pamphlets, and 2 that you can buy on the ACT official website (the $25 online practice package) this means that your next time taking the ACT should be your “twelfth” time. You become so used to the test that it becomes routine. It became routine for me and I did very well. It’s so worth it, as I’m planning on attending University of Alabama (a pretty great school) for free!!! Good luck!
That was my D’s first practice score after sophomore year. She did not take the real test until the second semester in junior. After a whole summer of preparation mostly by herself going through practice tests every week, she scored 35 in the real test.
D16 got a 30 on her first test in December of junior year. She did an SAT prep course the same December (never took the SAT), and some studying in the 2 weeks before her second time. She got a 33 in June of her junior year. She felt most of the improvement was just due to maturity and learning trigonometry at school.
