ACT 32 to SAT?

<p>Well on my ACT I got a 32 composite:
34 math
34 english
32 reading
27 science (rough)</p>

<p>And on my SAT I got a 2180/1430:
760 math
670 reading
750 writing (8 on the essay)</p>

<p>So the question is: which score is better? Which is better at schools which look at the entire SAT and which is better at places which only two-score? *I will apply for chemical engineering (so that low science may not be good.)</p>

<p>I think both of the scores are fairly similar, to be completely honest. Although if you were to convert the 2180 to an ACT scale based on percentage (and the curves are different so this method is flawed) it would be a 33. (2180/2400) * 36 = 32.7 –> 33. (32/36) * 2400 = 2133.33 –> 2133.</p>
