Combined...: 18 vs 23</p>

<p>I also calculated the average(E+M+R+S/4) and it was 22 vs 21.75</p>

<p>btw, my major will be chemical engineering so the first one was better????
and I'll take ACT again so this is just for the schools who won't accept later scores.</p>

<p>If you absolutely have to pick one of the two, definitely go with the first one. For engineering, the math and science scores are far more important, and you did better on both on the first test.</p>
