ACT and SAT Score Submissions

I’m sure someone somewhere has answered this question at some point, but I’m just going to ask it here.

I recently got my June SAT score results and I got a 1490 (720 CRW/770 Math) with a 15/24 essay (I know that’s not good)
That means I improved by 10 points in each section since the October SAT when I got a 1470.
The curve this time was harsh because I only got one question wrong in math, but I lost 30 points.

I’ve also taken the ACT once and I got a 34 composite with a 10/12 on the essay.

My question is which score do I submit? SAT, ACT, or both? I’m planning on applying to some selective schools in addition to match and safety schools, so what would be the most strategic?

The ACT is slightly higher.

It’s good. Act a bit better. Google it. They have conversion tools.

If applying to Georgetwon or Stanford, you must submit both all SATs and all ACTs. Otherwise you can choose. A 34 is likely a little better than a 1490, but you do not provide your math and English scores for the ACT. Many colleges consider those the more important section scores.

ACT is better

They are the same. https://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/ACT-SAT-Concordance-Tables.pdf Consider your ACT subscores before deciding which to submit.
