If I study for the SAT with an sat book do I need to study for the ACT and buy a book for it?or can i just take the act with my knowledge of SAT?will i be fine?thanks for your answers!

If it will not be a problem for you , i suggest you to buy an act book

The cost for the book is not a problem!my question was if I study for the SAT with the college board SAT book is it enough to take both the SAT and the ACT?or I will have to study for each one independently(buy an ACT book and study it)?!

I’d suggest just checking an ACT book out from the library. Most of the math, reading, and writing content is similar enough that you don’t need to study it separately. What you do need is to look at the format because the sections are presented differently and some of the common types of question sets are different. Also, you will want to study the science section because it’s very different from anything on the SAT. Last, you should probably do a few practice sections just to figure out how to pace yourself on test day because many people feel rushed on the ACT.

no make sure to buy an ACT book because the questions are a lot different. I think the writing section is easier, but it does ask weird writing style questions. Then the math section has stuff on trig. The reading section has a very constrained time limit. The science section is completely new.

I would suggest buying the red ACT book and/or the princeton review 1296 questions.

The test has a really different feel and format so don’t really on your SAT knowledge for it

I got a 32 ACT (36 M, 31 R, 30 W, 30 S) with only SAT prep (no ACT prep), and I know someone who got a 36 composite with only SAT prep.

Basically, I wouldn’t buy an ACT book if you already have an SAT book since the two tests are fairly similar (except for different style questions, trig, science section). I would at least look at the structure of the ACT, and maybe try a practice test (particularly for the science section).

Thank you guys very much for all the answer!it is very helpful!
