ive been studying for the SAT, and i was wondering if i need to study separately for the ACT. Would i need to get an ACT prep book, or are the skills needed in the SAT the same?

They are completely different; study each seperately.

^Agreed.

Not only does the ACT test different skills, but the format is something that needs to be prepared for as well. I advise you to prep with Princeton Review’s Cracking the ACT and to practice with the Real ACT. Good luck :)

I studied and went to a tutor for the SAT. For the ACT, I went to my tutor twice, once to just run through a full reading section and the other to do a math section. And I still did really well. Maybe I would’ve done better if I studied, but I thought the SAT studying helped a lot.
